Who are we ?
Densham and Associates are an Australian based international communications consultancy company, specialising in the design and project management of High Frequency (HF) radio networks.
Our experience base
Projects have included:
- Upgrade of the Namibia Coast Radio Network to comply with the requirements of the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS). This involved new HF and VHF radio facilities and a new Digital Selective Calling (DSC) system.
Design and project management of the Papua New Guinea (PNG) National Health Radio Network - a major Australian Government aid project to provide rural health communications to PNG. The network comprises 2000 HF and VHF stations and a major network HF control station.

Design and project management of the Solomon Islands National Health Radio Network - an Australian Government aid project to provide rural health communications. The network comprises 250 HF and VHF stations and a major network HF control station.
Design and costing of a complete HF Maritime Radio Station Development Plan for the Pacific Region - on behalf of the Secretariat of the Pacific Community and the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The system, which is intended to provide shipping communications for the entire South Pacific region, uses five strategically located major stations, complimented by ten local stations. The network will provide services to vessels of all sizes.
Complete Re-design of the Papua New Guinea maritime Coast Radio Network - on behalf of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU).
Design and project management of new HF and VHF communication facilities at the Shanghai (China) Coast Radio Station - on behalf of the Australian Government International Aid Agency, AusAID.
